The Verderair range of air-operated double diaphragm pumps features models for industrial, hazardous environments and hygienic applications.
Three key benefits:
- Reduced operational cost: Verderair pumps require less air thanks to fast-acting air valves eliminating ‘wasted’ air; compressed air is used only to move the fluid
- Increased productivity: higher flow rate and less maintenance. There is less ‘pressure drop’ when the liquid passes the pump chamber. The smoother flow gives increased efficiency when pumping the liquid. The diaphragms have a special profile, designed for long working life
- Improved working environment: the pumps produce less noise by using all of the compressed air and the risk of freezing the exhaust is reduced
A full range of wet-side materials is available with many items available as spares.
Air diaphragm pumps have a working principle that allows them to operate anywhere a compressed air supply can be connected. The positive displacement principle using diaphragms allows the pump to dry self-prime, run dry when drum-emptying and run against closed valves.
VA Industrial
The VA Industrial range of standard metallic and non-metallic pumps is suitable for a wide range of fluids, including viscous, sticky, abrasive and aggressive fluids, as well as those with smaller solids. Every pump features bolted chambers for safe operation and easy maintenance, as well as rugged, cast feed mounting holes for limited vibration.
The non-metallic range is available in polypropylene (and conductive ATEX version), Kynar and Acetal. The range is often suitable for chemical, inks, surface finishing and paint applications, as well as basic transfer / barrel-emptying.
The metallic range is available in aluminium, cast iron and stainless steel 316. This range performs well with abrasive fluids, even where the fluid is corrosive. Applications include chemical and ceramic slurries, slaughterhouse waste, solvent-based paints and more.
VA Pure
The VA Pure range of air-operated diaphragm pumps provides a solution for hazardous areas and highly corrosive fluids.
The pump itself is machined from a single block of 100% pure virgin PTFE or PE. The pump has no stress lines from cast moulding processes and is highly resistant to strong chemicals and abrasive slurries. There are no metal parts in contact with the fluid or environment; in fact the only metallic parts are the nut/bolt assemblies securing the casing together. This allows the pump to be installed in extremely harsh environments, such as ATEX zones, fuming cabinets and pumping strong, corrosive acids and other chemicals.
Applications include transfer of strong chemicals in process industries, pharmaceuticals production, electronics and solar panel manufacturing, and petrochemical refineries.
VA Hi-Clean
For processes requiring FDA, EC1935/2004 or 3A certification, the Verderair Hi-Clean range of hygienic and sanitary pumps uses DIN connections and 316 stainless steel, which is polished to different Ra finishes for crevice-free pump design and hygienic operation.
The pump is preferred by many production engineers as it can be jet-cleaned, disassembled using quick-release clamps and CIP/SIP compatible.
