Philip Kelshaw has been appointed as the managing director of Flexitallic’s UK head office in Cleckheaton.
The Flexitallic Group is a long established supplier of industrial sealing solutions with manufacturing and sales offices in Cleckheaton, UK, Houston, US, and China with a global network of distributors and licensees in North and South America, Europe, Africa, Middle East, Asia and Australia.
Mr Kelshaw previously spent more than 20 years in the chemicals industry before moving to sealing technology with Precision Polymer Engineering, Blackburn, in 2005.
He joined Flexitallic as sales and engineering director in 2007 with the initial task of implementing the company’s eastern hemisphere sales strategy by building a strong sales team. Skilled personnel were recruited from both within the company and externally, complemented by experienced team members from related industries. Mr Kelshaw went on to focus on improving distributor networks and material supply chains.
Commenting on his promotion to managing director, Kelshaw said: “In the sealing industry, Flexitallic always led the field with a reputation for quality and engineering. It is my intention to build on this respected brand with excellence in innovation and service.
“Flexitallic is a well-respected, strong name in the US, UK, Europe, Asia and the Middle East, and there is still major potential for growth in the eastern hemisphere. We are renowned for our specialist solutions and have the technology to support end users and OEMs in industry sectors such as oil and gas, petrochemicals and power generation.”
As part of the company’s re-structure, former managing director David Mitchell has been appointed as the group corporate development director and Alex Lattimer has been promoted to commercial director, making him responsible for directing the internal sales operation and co-ordination of the Allied Distributor Programme.
Mr Lattimer said: “I will be reviewing every aspect of our sales processes to retain and grow Flexitallic’s prized reputation as the best for gaskets and also for exceeding client expectations with exemplary customer service levels.”
Stuart Lumley has been appointed as operations director. He will be responsible for manufacturing and logistics.
