Process equipment manufacturer The Witte Co., recently celebrated the groundbreaking of its manufacturing center expansion. To add 5,000ft² to its facility in Washington, New Jersey, the expansion is to nearly double the assembly area, speed lead times and enable the company to meet demand for its vibrating fluid bed dryers, coolers, pellet classifiers, dewaterers, conveyors and other process equipment. The expansion is to be completed, inspected and ready for move-in during May 2016.
Discussions on the expansion began as early as 2014 when demand increased sharply from around the world, especially for the company’s custom-engineered dryers and plastic pellet classifiers.
"We’re seeing a greater understanding among process engineers that our vibrating fluid bed dryers offer the most efficient method of heat transfer with the most protection for particle shape and integrity," says Richard Witte, president of the family-owned Witte Co., founded in 1938.
"Investing in this expansion will allow us to produce more of our systems faster at a time when more and more people are realizing the advantages of our technology and expertise."
