Joffre (Nova Chemicals) Ethylene and Polyethylene Plants, Canada
Joffre is a US$725m joint project between NOVA Chemicals and Dow Chemicals. Regulatory approvals are in place, field work began in the fall of 1997 and facility construction began in the spring of 1998. Joffre began production in July 2001, at 1.27 million tonnes of ethylene per year, and 370,000t/yr of polyethylene.
