XLX Fertiliser to build urea-based compound fertiliser plant
China XLX Fertiliser is planning to invest 15m yuan ($2.3m) to build a 150,000t/year urea-based compound fertiliser plant near its second urea plant.
The fertiliser plant, which is expected to increase the current compound fertiliser capacity by 25% to 750,000t, will start production in the second quarter of 2012.
The company is planning to construct the fourth plant in Xinxiang City, Henan Province, which is expected to be completed in 2013.
The annual production capacity of its urea operation will then increase to over two million tonnes, the company said.
