Wison Engineering begins construction on EPC project in UAE

China-based Wison Engineering has started construction on its first engineering, procurement and construction (EPC) project west of Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates (UAE).

The latest development helps Wison advance its position in the strategic market of the Middle East.

The new project is part of the ethylene plant expansion of an undisclosed plastics solutions provider, and scheduled for completion in October next year.

"The new project is part of the ethylene plant expansion of an undisclosed plastics solutions provider."

Wison said in a statement: "The project not only signals the company's breakthrough into the core market of ME, but also showcased Wison Engineering's wide recognition among project owners in the ME region."

The company has also established a project execution centre, as well as set-up a local design, procurement and project management team in Abu Dhabi to help offer customised services to local project owners. This new centre is intended to help Wison allocate its resources better and respond faster to the local project needs.

The company provides chemical engineering, procurement and construction management services in China.

It has developed various technologies, including cracking furnace proprietary technology and new coal-to-chemical techniques on methanol, dimethyl ether and MTO light olefins separation.
