Royal Dutch Shell has sold its 80% stake in Pecten Cameroon to Addax Petroleum, a unit of Sinopec, for $538m.
Sinopec expects to get 11,900 barrels of equity oil output per day from the joint venture in 2011.
Sinopec Group's business activities include the production, marketing, storage, transportation of petrochemicals and other chemical products; the design, construction and installation of petroleum and petrochemical engineering projects; and maintenance of petroleum and petrochemical equipment.
