Sadara Chemical has awarded a contract to Larsen & Toubro (L&T) ATCO Saudia to provide procurement and construction services to build polyethylene and specialty elastomer facilities.
New plants will be located in Jubail, Saudi Arabia, where Sadara is constructing a chemical complex.
L&T ATCO, a joint venture (JV) of the L&T Group and the A.A. Turki Group of Companies (ATCO), provides electro-mechanical construction services to petrochemical, hydrocarbon pipelines, oil and gas, power projects, water and effluent treatment plants.
L&T said along with other projects being executed, the Sadara project will meet health, safety and environment, procurement, project and construction management, quality and delivery standard requirements.
The project is expected to be completed in 35 months.
Sadara Chemical, a JV of Saudi Aramco and Dow Chemical, produces various performance products, including propylene oxide, propylene glycol, elastomers, linear low density polyethylene, low density polyethylene, glycol ethers and amines.
