Rotary Engineering secures chemical plant contract in Singapore

Rotary Engineering has secured a S$110m (US$87m) contract from Taiwan-based Chang Chun Group for the construction of the chemical plant on Jurong Island, Singapore.

The project, contracted with CCD (Singapore) involves initial investment of S$500m (US$397m) from Chang Chun Group.

Rotary will be involved in the construction of the allyl alcohol and vinyl acetate monomer plant.

Allyl alcohol is used to manufacture speciality monomers and polymers, while vinyl acetate monomer is used in paints, adhesives and textiles.

Rotary is currently employing two engineering, procurement and construction contracts - a $745m contract from Saudi Aramco Total Refining and Petrochemical Company in Saudi Arabia, and a $250m contract from Fujairah Oil Terminal in the United Arab Emirates.
