Rhodia said it is commissioning a new production unit at Liyang in Jiangsu Province, China, to produce rare earth-based compounds for the local automotive catalysis market.
The Liyang site currently produces formulations mainly for the international electronics market.
Rhodia, a member of the Solvay group, is a specialty chemical company that manufactures compounds for automotive catalysis.
