PolyOne acquires IQAP Masterbatch


US-based provider of specialised polymer PolyOne has acquired IQAP Masterbatch Group to strengthen its specialty colour and additives offering. 

Spain-based IQAP Masterbatch operates as a privately owned provider of specialty colorants and additives across Europe. 

The company has two production plants and a technology lab in the country, as well as additional manufacturing capability in the Czech Republic. 

PolyOne chairman, president, and CEO Robert Patterson said: “IQAP is a fantastic addition to our longstanding and growing expertise in colour and additives innovation.

"We will advance the possibilities for our European customers working to meet demanding new standards for design, functionality, and performance."

IQAP serves markets such as transportation, packaging, consumer, wire and cable, and textiles.

The financial terms of the transaction have not been revealed.
