Petronas Chemicals Group has reported its second quarter results for the period ending September 2011.
The company's revenue increased by 39% to MYR4.6bn ($1.44bn) compared with the first quarter.
Following maintenance activities in the preceding quarter, Petronas reported better operational performance, largely due to its olefins and derivatives segment.
The group's net profit rose by more than 56% to MYR1.3bn ($0.4bn) compared to the preceding quarter.
For the six-month period ending September 2011, the group's revenue was MYR8bn, representing 26% growth.
