Ineos Technologies has licensed its Innovene G and Innovene S polyethylene technologies to OAO Nizhnekamskneftekhim's new petrochemical project in Nizhnekamsk, Russia.
The new 300kta Innovene G and 300kta Innovene S plants are part of Nizhnekamskneftekhim's expansion at the Russian petrochemical complex.
The combination of the Innovene G gas phase fluid bed and Innovene S slurry phase HDPE will complete the product portfolio for OAO Nizhnekamskneftekhim, according to Ineos.
In addition to two technologies, Ineos will also provide HPLL metallocene LLDPE film products, PE-100 pipe grades, premium bimodal HMW HDPE film, bimodal blow moulding and HDPE commodity moulding grades.
Ineos Technologies' Carbon Black compounding technology will also be used to ensure ISO PE-100 qualification of the pipe grades in the project.
OAO Nizhnekamskneftekhim general director Vladimir Busygin said: "By signing the license agreement for INEOS technology, we will be able to produce various grades of polyethylene and be competitive not only in Russia and CIS, but also in other foreign countries."
Ineos Technologies CEO Peter Williams said Innovene G and Innovene S will supply full range of PE needs for the new petrochemical project in Nizhnekamsk.
''Our polyethylene technology has been recognised as a worldwide leader and we are confident that it will serve OAO Nizhnekamskneftekhim's long term marketing needs domestically and in export markets," Williams added. The complex is expected to become operational in the 2015 - 2016 timeframe.
