The Linde Group will establish and run a new hydrogen plant at Jilin Chemical Industrial Park (JCIP) in north-east China to supply high-purity hydrogen to several companies.
Linde will invest up to €42m for the first phase of its new project.
The new hydrogen plant will use steam methane reforming (SMR) and is expected to provide 25,000 normal cubic metres of hydrogen an hour.
Linde will also form a subsidiary, Linde Gases Jilin, to leverage the gas supply infrastructure in and around the JCIP chemical complex.
Linde executive board member Sanjiv Lamba said that, together with their partners, they are involved to support the development of these projects as they move forward.
