Jacobs wins UK design contract from INEOS Enterprises
US-based Jacobs Engineering Group has received a design and fabrication contract from INEOS Enterprises for two gas-gas heat exchangers.
As part of the contract, Jacobs will supply its proprietary radial flow gas-gas heat exchanger, Chemetics.
The gas-gas heat exchangers will be installed at INEOS Enterprises' sulphuric acid plant in Runcorn, Cheshire, UK.
The equipment is expected to be fabricated at Jacobs' facility in Pickering, Ontario, Canada.
Andy Kremer, Jacobs Group vice president, said: "The award of this project confirms the technical strength of our proprietary equipment design, supported by our exceptional experience, and we look forward to working with INEOS Enterprises to add value to the performance and reliability of its plant."
Jacobs has not disclosed the financial terms of the contract. INEOS Enterprises' portfolio consists of eleven businesses manufacturing chemicals across Europe.
