HPCL to perform feasibility study at refinery and petrochemical project
Hindustan Petroleum Corporation Limited (HPCL) is seeking bids to conduct a feasibility study for a refinery and petrochemical project at Visakhapatnam in southern India.
The state-run refiner said that the last date to submit tenders for the contract is 15 November 2011.
The project is expected to have a capacity of 280,000-300,000 barrels a day, and a petrochemical plant with a capacity of at least one million tons a year.
The Visakhapatnam project was initially planned as a joint venture by Hindustan Petroleum, Mittal Energy Investments, France's Total, GAIL (India) and Oil India.
