Gujarat State Fertilizers Company (GSFC) is investing Rs500m ($9.5m) to build a biofertilizer complex in Vadodara, Gujarat, India.

The plant will annually produce 20,000t of 'Amin' a water soluble fertiliser and plant growth promoter, as well as one million litres of liquid biofertiliser.

The area under drip and sprinkler irrigation has risen from a few thousand hectares to about 300,000ha in ten years.
