Taiwan's Formosa Chemicals & Fibre is planning to restart its No 1 and No 2 styrene monomer plants at Mailiao by the end of the month.
The two plants, which have a combined capacity of 600,000t/year, have been shut since May due to a fire in an LPG pipeline at the Mailiao complex.
The restart is subject to approval from the authorities.
The company's No 3 styrene monomer plant is currently running at full capacity.
