Evonik's Comfort and Insulation launches second Asian laboratory
Specialty chemicals company Evonik's Comfort and Insulation Line has opened a Technical Service Center in Singapore, marking the business line's fifth operating laboratory and the second in Asia.
The new lab, which also consists of a know-how and training centre, is expected to offer consultative support and enhance close customer relations, in addition to supporting application development to improve Comfort and Insulation businesses in the region.
Evonik Comfort and Insulation regional business manager Kim Leng Goh said the new centre is expected to allow acquisition of more sustainable market share and profitable business through a value selling approach.
"With the official opening of the Technical Service Center, Comfort and Insulation opens a new chapter of our polyurethane business in this region," Goh added.
For more that ten years, Comfort and Insulation has also been producing polyurethane additives (PU) at the Shanghai-Xinzhuang Site in China.
Evonik Comfort and Insulation senior vice president and general manager Dr. Tammo Boinowitz said: "Opening this Technical Service Center represents a milestone in our regional strategy of becoming a preferred cooperation partner by ensuring a greater coverage of our trustworthy partnership and technical expertise on the Asian market."
