EcoSynthetix, a renewable chemicals company, has commissioned a new EcoSphere Biolatex production line within its existing facility in Oosterhout, the Netherlands.
The production line, which uses emulsifier technology, adds another 80 million pounds to the company's annual capacity.
The move helps the company to further penetrate the paper and paperboard industry and expand into new markets.
The pilot plant is expected to come on-line by the end of 2011, increasing the company's current capacity to 155 million pounds per year.
The firm's fourth line will be commissioned later this year in Tennessee, US, expanding the total production capacity to 235 million pounds per year.
