US-based Eastman Chemical said it will increase the capacity of Eastman 168, a non-phthalate plasticiser at its Kingsport, Tennessee, US, site by around 6,000 tons a year.
The expansion work is expected to begin soon and is scheduled to be on line before the end of 2011.
Eastman 168 is a general-purpose non-phthalate plasticizer, and Eastman Chemical Oxo and Plasticisers business director Heidi Barnes said the company is investing significant capital to ensure sufficient product supply to customers.
