US-based Eastman Chemical has expanded its Regalite hydrogenated hydrocarbon resins facility in Middelburg, the Netherlands.

The plant produces a variety of hydrocarbon resins, rosin resins, and dispersions.

Regalite hydrogenated hydrocarbon resins are used in polymers to provide colour, stability and adhesion.

Brad Lich, vice-president and general manager of Eastman's coatings, adhesives, speciality polymers and inks business, said that the expansion, along with debottlenecking its Eastotac hydrogenated hydrocarbon resins capacity in Longview, Texas, US, and the expansion of hydrocarbon capacity in Jefferson, Pennsylvania, US, will help the company to meet demand in developing regions.
