Chinese polyethylene imports rise year-on-year

Data released by the Chinese customs service has revealed that the country's polyethylene imports rose year-on-year, including a 47.6% increase in LDPE.

China imported 122,827t of LDPE in October, up 39,635t compared with the same period last year, but is 26.5% down month-on-month.

HDPE imports were up 3% year on year to 266,591t in October, while it is 15.3% down month-on-month.

Linear LDPE imports rose 9.1% increase year-on-year to 210,272t.

Meanwhile, linear LDPE imports were down 12.7% month-on-month.
