China begins anti-dumping proceedings on chemical solvent and boxboard imports

The Chinese Ministry of Commerce has initiated two anti-dumping investigations on imports of certain chemical solvents and boxboard from the US and the EU.

The ministry will look at whether ethylene glycol monobutyl ether, diethylene glycol monobutyl ether and boxboard imports have been dumped in the Chinese market.

It will also examine the companies that are exporting these chemicals to China.

Companies that purchase downstream products from these chemicals and boxboards may face higher input costs or supply disruptions as a result of these investigations.
