Chemetall opens new US chemical manufacturing plant


Chemetall has opened a new chemical manufacturing plant in Blackman Charter Township in Michigan, US.

The $25m facility is spread across 200,000 square feet and will house administrative, manufacturing, warehousing operations and a physical testing laboratory.

The company will produce more than 900 products to be used in surface treatment, metal fabrication, cleaning and sanitizing at the 40-acre Blackman site.

Chemetall NAFTA CEO Dr. Ron Felber said high-tech additions to the new Blackman Charter Township site ensures the efficiency of operations to manufacture chemicals.

Since 1909, the German-based Chemetall has been developing, manufacturing and supplying specialty chemical products ranging from metalworking fluids, drawing and stamping compounds to cleaners, rust preventatives and surface treatment chemicals.
