Alfa Laval to deliver heat exchangers to a Middle East petrochemical plant

Swedish manufacturer Alfa Lava has secured an Skr125m ($13.88m) contract to provide heat exchangers for a petrochemical plant in the Middle East.

Under the contract, Alfa Lava will supply its OLMI heat exchangers that will be part of a capacity expansion.

Alfa Laval Process Technology division president Svante Karlsson said: “I am very pleased to announce this order for our OLMI heat exchangers.

Alfa Laval OLMI heat exchangers will be used by the petrochemical company to increase the yield and recover energy in the production of ethylene, which is a key ingredient for producing industrial chemicals and plastics products.

The company has booked the order in the energy and process segment, with delivery scheduled for next year.

The equipment and systems produced by Alfa Laval enable companies in optimising the performance of their processes.

Its solutions helps companies to heat, cool, separate and transport products in industries that produce food and beverages, chemicals and petrochemicals, pharmaceuticals, starch, sugar and ethanol.

Alfa Laval’s products are also used in power plants, oil and gas exploration, in the mechanical engineering industry, in the mining industry, as well as for wastewater treatment.
