Dutch-based speciality chemical producer AkzoNobel is planning to invest €45m in a new dicumyl peroxide plant at its Ningbo multi-site in China.
The facility is expected to increase the company's dicumyl peroxide production capacity by more than 30% to 25,000t.
Construction is expected to be completed by mid-2014.
Dicumyl peroxide is used in a range of products including shoe soles, cable insulation and construction insulation.
