Air Products to supply gaseous oxygen to LG Chem in South Korea


US-based company Air Products has received a contract from South Korean chemical firm LG Chem (LGC) to supply oxygen for its new production facility. 

The deal will see Air Products supply gaseous oxygen to the new facility through an on-site PRISM vacuum swing adsorption (VSA) oxygen generator for use in the production of materials used in secondary batteries.

According to the company, on-site gas generation helps lower carbon footprints, increase energy efficiency and throughput, in addition to improving end-product quality and environmental performance.
