Oman to Invest in Indian Fertiliser Sector


Oman will invest nearly $3bn to reopen several Fertilizer Corporation of India and Hindustan Fertilizer Corporation plants in India.

The fund will also be used to expand Rashtriya Chemicals and Fertilizers through investment by Oman Oil Company, according to thehindubusinessline.com.

India and Oman have also agreed to expand the 1.65 million tons / year urea project of the Oman India Fertilizer Company to 2.5 million tons.

The two countries have also agreed to study the possibility of setting up a lube blending plant in Oman.
