Paradeep Phosphates Limited (PPL) run by India-based KK Birla group will invest INR5bn ($106m) to set up a sulphuric acid plant and expand its existing phosphoric acid plant in the Indian state of Orissa in the next three years.
Birla group is also planning to invest INR2.5bn ($53m) to set up a 2000 ton per day sulphuric acid plant.
The company said it will invest INR700m ($14m) to de-bottleneck and upgrade the existing phosphoric acid plant.
PPL is also planning to set up a gypsum pond with an investment of INR1bn ($21m) and add pesticides, micro-nutrients and ammonia to its product basket, according to economictimes.com.
