Keyuan Petrochemicals will build a new styrene-butadiene-styrene production facility in the third quarter of the year with an annual capacity of 70,000t.
The facility is expected to cost $17.5m. It will generate $110m in sales and between $10-11m in net profit annually once it starts full production, Keyuan said.
The construction of the production facility and a storage facility will be completed in 2011, while the raw materials pre-treatment and asphalt production facilities have been scheduled for completion in 2012.
The storage facility will have 100,000t of petrochemical storage capacity, while the asphalt production plant will have a capacity 300,000t.
