Indian speciality chemicals manufacturer Aarti Industries has upgraded its hydrogenation technology to boost production capacity.
The eco-friendly Buss Loop Hydrogenation Technology was commissioned five years ago with support from a Swiss technology provider.
The enhancement will increase its speciality chemicals production from 700t a month to about 1,500t a month over the next year, the company said.
The company's operating profits received a boost from the expansion in the first quarter of 2010. It had net sales and related income of $76m, rising from $58m a year ago.
