INEOS Oxide Announces Plans for Ethylene Terminal

30 July 2010

INEOS Oxide has said it is planning to build a new ethylene terminal at its Zwijndrecht facilities in Belgium.

The new deep-sea terminal, expected to start operations in 2012, will produce one million tonnes of ethylene per annum, the company said.

INEOS is planning to connect the terminal to its ethylene-consuming facilities in the Antwerp-Rotterdam area to the rest of Europe via the Aethylen-Rohrleitungs-Gesellschaft (ARG) ethylene pipeline.

The pipeline will also link Antwerp to Cologne and the Ruhr industrial areas.
