Sasol Delays Nigeria GTL Plant Until 2013

South African firm Sasol said its Nigerian gas-to-liquids plant will be delayed by a year and is expected to be completed by the end of 2012 or early 2013.

The construction of the plant is in an advanced stage and the first production is expected in 2013.

Sasol chief executive Pat Davis said considering the challenges of building the facility on a swamp, it is going very well.

Sasol owns a 10% economic stake in the Nigeria plant, while Chevron has the majority 75% stake, according to Reuters.
