BASF-YPC Expands with $1.4bn
Sinopec and BASF's joint project, BASF-YPC (BYC), on the outskirts of Nanjing, capital of Jiangsu province, China, is expanding its production capacity with a budget of $1.4bn.
With this expansion, BYC will produce speciality chemicals for several industries including construction, electronics, pharmaceuticals and automotives.
The expansion will help BASF to better serve Chinese industrial, business and domestic customers, the company said.
BYC was founded in 2000 with a total investment of $2.9bn in its first phase, according to chinadaily.com.
