Danish technology and catalyst company Haldor Topsoe has bagged a contract from Perdaman Chemicals and Fertilisers to supply ammonia synthesis technology for an new ammonia plant in Australia.
The plant will be located at the Shotts Industrial Park in Collie, Western Australia and the ammonia synthesis loop will be a part of the site's A$3.5bn urea manufacturing project, which will produce 6,200t of urea from coal every day.
The ammonia plant will have a daily production capacity of more than 3,500t, making it the world's largest ammonia plant.
Perdaman Chemicals and Fertilisers is a wholly owned subsidiary of Australian multinational group Perdaman Industries.
