Braskem hikes domestic polyethylene offer prices

Brazilian polyethylene producer Braskem has increased domestic polyethylene prices for September by R$200-250 per ton (US$117.27-146.60 per ton) due to the 9.5% rise of the US dollar.

Prices of HDPE and linear LDPE rose by R$250 per ton, while LDPE offer prices by R$200 per ton, according to Platts.

Following the increase, the HDPE offer price for the Brazilian domestic market was R$4,320 per ton FOT for HDPE blow-moulding, R$4,500 per ton FOT for HDPE injection and film, R$4,450 per ton FOT for linear LDPE butene and R$4,660 per ton FOT for LDPE film.
