Zuari Industries to build speciality fertiliser plants in India

India-based Zuari Industries is to spend Rs450m ($9.9m) on setting up two soluble speciality fertiliser plants in Rajasthan and Orissa.

The new plants, which will each have an annual production capacity of 30,000t, will be built and operated by Zuari Rotem Specialty Fertilisers, a joint venture of Zuari and Israel Chemicals.

The Rajasthan plant will begin operations in late 2013.

Zuari Industries has an annual installed capacity of 50,000t of water soluble NPK speciality fertilisers.
