Indorama to Build Fertiliser and Methanol Plants in Nigeria

Indonesia-based Indorama is planning to invest $1.8bn to build fertiliser and methanol plants in Port Harcourt, Nigeria.

The plants are expected to be operational in 2014 and produce a million tons of ammonia and urea fertilisers.

The plants will be run by Eleme Petrochemicals, a former subsidiary of the state-oil company bought by Indorama for $400m in 2006.
