Dynea Chemicals has acquired SC Rom Re Ro Munteanu SRL, a privately owned Romanian adhesive manufacturing company.
The acquisition is part of Dynea's strategy to strengthen its presence in the South Eastern region of Europe.
Rom Re Ro's production site in Rasnov, Romania, develops and manufactures a wide range of products including urea and phenolic resins.
The company has an annual production capacity of 50,000t and also includes research facilities.
The company produces speciality phenolic adhesive resins in Romania and exports to Italy, Poland, Serbia and Croatia.
Dynea executive vice-president Nina Kopola said that the acquisition will give Dynea the opportunity to focus even more into phenolic speciality areas.
