Saudi Arabia Sees Petrochemical Exports Rise
Saudi Arabia's petrochemical exports increased in December 2010, boosted by demand from China, India, Europe and the Middle East.
According to data from the country's Department of Statistics and Information, Saudi Arabia exported SAR4.12bn ($1.1bn) of petrochemicals in December.
Petrochemical exports for the month comprised of 35% of the country's non-oil exports, which reached SAR11.9bn ($3.1bn). This was followed by plastics, which comprised 29% of the exports.
Exports of petrochemicals rose to SAR11.2bn ($2.9bn) during the fourth quarter of 2010, according to Bloomberg.
