Beldam Crossley - Fluoropolymer Seals, Bearings, Gaskets and Bellows

Beldam Crossley has been manufacturing and distributing fluorocarbon (PTFE) components globally for over 50 years. A leader for over 45 years in the compounding of filled grades of PTFE, marketed under the Crossflon trade mark, we supply a comprehensive range of fluoropolymer seals, bearings, gaskets and bellows, which are designed and manufactured for all sectors of the industrial process industries. Today our worldwide customers come from the chemical, petro-chemical, nuclear, pharmaceutical, automotive, transport, civil engineering, aerospace, oil and food industries to name a few.

Beldam Crossley, with its technical sales, design and development teams are committed to providing our customers with innovative solutions, and we are totally focussed to provide the highest standard of service, quality and reliability.

CROSSFLON® COMPOUNDED MATERIALS

Beldam Crossley offers an extensive range of Crossflon® compounded materials, incorporating the most modern fillers which enhance the properties of PTFE. These include carbon graphite, bronze, molybdenum disulphide, polyimide, glass, stainless steel, and ceramic.

Beldam Crossley manufacture a wide range of PTFE and Crossflon® products and components to the customer's specific requirements. These include:

  • PTFE valve components
  • Ball seats
  • Body seals
  • Stem seals
  • Chevron seals (for all types of valve)

PTFE BELLOWS

Both milled and veneered PTFE bellows are available to help with expansion-contraction, to correct misalignment, and absorb vibration. PTFE bellows are suitable for low ressure "borosilicate glass" process systems, sampling, and instrumentation valves etc. Sizes are available up to 1,000mm bore.

PTFE ENVELOPE

  • Type M: machined to suit insert (available in sizes up to DN600-ASA 24in)
  • Type V: knifed for economy (available in sizes up to DN600-ASA 24in)
  • Type W: formed and welded, any size over 450mm (18in) diameter, 50mm maximum face width

PTFE PUMP PARTS

Beldam Crossley have a comprehensive range of PTFE diaphragms and ancillary components for both single and double-action pumps. These include PTFE balls and seats, gaskets, PTFE air-valve slides and diaphragms.

PTFE 'O' RING SEALS

Manufactured from moulded stress-relieved pure, or Crossflon® compounded material, PTFE 'O' ring seals are used as both static and dynamic seals, where other 'O' ring seals will fail due to chemical and thermal conditions.

CROSSFLON® PTFE ROTARY SHAFT SEALS

Crossflon® high performance compounded PTFE materials are available as the sealing elements in our exclusive range of rotary shaft seals.

Crossflon® PTFE rotary shaft seals are constructed with an outer metal case with a Crossflon® PTFE sealing lip, or as an all Crossflon® PTFE fully machined seal Crossflon® PTFE rotary shaft seals meet the demanding requirements of the chemical equipment industry, as well as the aerospace, automotive and general mechanical engineering industries.

CROSSFLON® PTFE SELF-LUBRICATED PLANE BEARINGS

The Crossflon® range of bearings simplifies design problems and ensures greater reliability, efficiency, self-lubrication and improved performance. Crossflon® plane bearings overcome the problems of poor lubrication, extreme temperatures, friction, wear and chemical corrosion.

FDA compatible materials for use with the food and drug industries are also available.

CROSSFLON® 1002 EXPANSION-SLIDE BEARINGS

Crossflon® PTFE expansion-slide bearings are a unique low cost, maintenance free answer to the problems involved with movement of pipes, heat exchangers or with the steel framework of civil engineering structures. Beldam Crossley slide bearings allow movement between surfaces, reducing stress build-up caused by changes in temperature, load or seismic activity.

Crossflon® 1002 expansion slide bearings also provide a unique method of moving large heavy loads, such as offshore oil platform jackets, heavy machinery or reactor vessels.

ENGINEERING POLYMER MATERIALS

In addition to our range of PTFE Crossflon® products, Beldam Crossley offer machined components in a range of engineering polymer materials: PEEK, UHMWPE, POM "C" and "H", PETP, PP, PA66 and oil-filled polyamide.

Quality standard:

  • BS. EN ISO 9001-2000
  • BS. EN ISO 14001-1996
