The Albin ALH – the Hose Pump of the Future

23 May 2007

Albin Pump, a leading manufacturer of hose pumps, has launched its ALH series with the latest design. The company has combined advanced hose technology with smart design solutions in order to maximise running time and minimise service, resulting in longer hose life and less downtime.

The principle of operation of the pumping action in Albin ALH hose pumps is achieved by pinching a circular loop of rubber tube with two diametrically opposed rotating shoes. Due to the rotational movement, the fluid in the tubes is pushed ahead of each shoe, when each shoe reaches the end of the loop, the hose is released and the shoe rotates to the start of the loop to begin a new cycle. As the shoe releases the reinforced tube, it immediately returns to its original shape, thereby ensuring positive suction and priming.

MULTIPURPOSE HOSE PUMP

The construction of the Albin ALH hose pump makes it a smart and effective choice for a wide range of pump applications.

The ALH hose pump is particularly suited to abrasive, corrosive, shear sensitive and viscous fluids with reinforced hoses, with four layers of polyamide which increases the lifetime of the hose by 30%. The drive of the pump is independent of the pumping system, which eliminates the risk of liquid in the drive; the pumps are also reversible for back-flushing lines.

ALH hose pumps are self priming up to 9m manometric lift, and work with high discharge pressures of up to 15bar with precise volumetric flow.

FAST HOSE CHANGES

The Albin Pump ALH hose pump is virtually maintenance free and can run dry in continuous use. One of the key issues in today's industries is to reduce downtime in every process. The ALH series is a pump with only one wearing part and only one part in contact with the fluid: the hose. The ALH series is constructed to make hose changes as fast as possible.

This pump epitomises what we at Albin Pump wants to achieve: better pump solutions for our customers.
