PRESSURE VESSEL HEAD MANUFACTURE

Antonius products are manufactured using specialized techniques that they have developed and enhanced through years of experience. The result is an unrivalled portfolio of pressure vessel parts and components that can fit any situation. Antonius work with their customers to design tailor-made solutions to exact customer specifications. Production techniques include:

  • Cold dished or flanged
  • Cold and/or hot formed
  • Fabricated from crown plate and petals

These techniques are used in the production of hemispherical heads, cones, elbows, expansion joints and other pressed parts. They can be produced to any sizings but typically range between 1mm-150mm in thickness and 25mm-66m in diameter.

PRESSURE VESSEL INDUSTRY MATERIALS

The materials used for component parts depends on the application that they are being used for and on customer requirements. Antonius products are manufactured using a wide range of materials, and as such are extremely versatile and can meet any demands the chemical industry puts upon them. Typical manufacture materials include:

  • Carbon steels; HIC
  • Stainless steels; austenitics and super austenitics, and duplex and super duplex
  • Nickel alloys; monel, inconel and hastelloy
  • Titanium
  • Zirconium
  • Aluminium
  • Copper
  • Clad steels; tri clad

Antonius offer a dynamic product portfolio that can be used for a wide range of applications, these include pulp and paper mills, gold mining heat recovery projects, chemical plants and power plants.

ANTONIUS PROJECT REFERENCES

Antionius have been involved in the manufacture and delivery of pressure vessel parts for a wide range of industries and projects for many years. These have covered the globe and can be reflected in Antonius' impressive project history. Recent projects include:

  • Longford gas project, 2001. Antonius delivered two elliptical heads constructed from duplex UNS S31803 to Fitroy Engineering Group for use in a MDEA regenerator column in a gas plant
  • Aracruz pulp and paper mill, 2001. One segmented head with spherical cap and twelve petals was manufactured for Santasalo Oy as a component part of a digester pulp and paper mill
  • PTA plant, 2001. Production of two segmented ellipsoidal heads was contracted by Coek Engineering for delivery to a Reactor PTA plant in Taiwan
  • Cold gases, 2000. 20 korboggen heads were supplied to Aga Cyro AB in Sweden for use in cryogenic applications
