Mann Teknik - Dry Disconnect Couplings to Prevent Spillage

Product spills are costly and sometimes hazardous. By using the Mann Tek DDCouplings® for connecting and disconnecting hoses and pipelines, you will obtain a clean, safe and spill free handling of fluids, gases and bulk powders.

DDCouplings® are especially needed in areas of zero tolerance to spillage when your product:

Typical applications where the DDCouplings® may be found are railcars, tank trucks, IBC containers, chemical plants, food industry, off shore, ship to shore and vessel boats.

The couplings are industrial self-sealing couplings made of various materials, ranging from metals like aluminium, gun metal, stainless steel, alloy C276 and titanium to plastics such as PEEK and PVDF.

The DDCouplings® are available in sizes from ¾in up to 6in, produced according to NATO standard STANAG 3756, CE-branded and are fully interchangeable with several other existing brands on the market like Avery Hardoll, Emco Wheaton and Todo.

The ethylene oxide sector group of the European Chemical Industry Council recommends the use of dry disconnect couplings that comply with the STANAG 3756.

THE ADVANTAGES OF MANN TEK DRY DISCONNECT COUPLINGS

The principle of single-action operation is identical for all sizes of DDCouplings®: to open simply push and turn with instant full flow and minimal pressure drop. To close it you just turn and pull in order to release with no spillage.

Testing shows that the Mann Tek DDCouplings® have the lowest spill on the market.

Easy maintenance due to the innovative design: no tools are needed to demount the piston valve from the tank unit. The hose unit can be fully serviced without demounting the hose unit from the hose or loading arm. Maintenance is an easy job even under tough conditions such as very low temperatures.

In order to reach an even higher safety level, a Safety Pressure Cap (SPCap) may be mounted on the DDCoupling® tank unit serving as a second or third enclosure. The SPCap is equipped with a leakage warning indicator as well as a pressure relief function. It is available in sizes 2in, 2½in, 3in and 4in.
