On March 8th 2006, Federtrasporti has been appointed as licensee for stevedoring and other logistics activities within the port area of Piombino.
Federtrasporti is proud to announce that, thanks to years of experience in transportation and collateral activities along the logistic chain, is now able to offer its services within the Port of Piombino, 10 kms far from Consorzio Federtrasporti premises.
The Port of Piombino is located in Central Italy along the Tyrrhenian Corridor and it is connected to the main road and rail network. It is a multipurpose port and proposes itself as a worthy alternative to the major Italian ports.
13 mts draft wharves allow any domestic and deep sea traffics in particular for dry bulk and a 130,000 sqm area is available for handling and warehousing any kind of goods, in particular iron, steel, chemicals and ores.
