Bonar Plastics - Plastic Storage and Transportation Products

Bonar Plastics manufactures a wide range of storage and transportation equipment for the chemicals industry. Using the rotational moulding process they produce UN approved Intermediate Bulk Containers (IBCs), storage tanks, spill containment and bunds and special pallets for canister transportation. Customer specific products can also be designed, developed and produced by Bonar Plastics.

Bonar Plastics is part of Promens Hf with eight companies in Europe and four in North America, all involved in rotational moulding of plastic products. Bonar Plastics are the biggest rotational moulding group in the world, producing technical products that specially cater to the chemicals industry among others.

HEAVY DUTY TRANSPORTATION CONTAINERS

The following transport containers are UN-approved and available in several versions and sizes:

• The Multiway is the UN-approved, multi-trip all-plastic container that can do the job of the so-called 'single tripper' but with improved accessories and a lower total cost during the five years of use
• The Varitainer is the translation of the steel cage container into an all-plastic container, incorporating the added advantage of being non-corrosive and the possibility of having the container in company colours and with company name
• New is the iCon with ConTracer - the intelligent container with wireless asset monitoring (RFID).Where the iCon is also a heavy-duty multi-trip container combining the advantages previously mentioned with an integrated bund and other safety aspects. Meanwhile available with and without bottom outlet. The ConTracer will allow the owner to monitor his fleet of containers 24 hours-a-day, the system will show the location and content level of the container. And it also keeps a history of both customer and container

All the heavy-duty containers can be used for up to 10 years, provided that the inner container will be replaced after five years (as per UN-regulation). Special versions like mother/daughter systems are also part of the container range.

PLASTIC STORAGE CONTAINERS, TANKS AND BUNDS

• The CanContainer is for transport and storage of canisters. The container is available in two sizes that can each hold up to 30 or 45 canisters of 25 litres. It has a bund integrated in the pallet and, due to its plastic fabrication, will not corrode. It can also be made in company colours
• Spill Containers or Bunds are available for cans, drums and IBCs
• The Storage Tanks take little space since they are positioned vertically and can be supplied with bunds
