The Camspec range of single beam spectrophotometers and double beam spectrophotometers gives the user a wide choice, from low-cost, robust and easy-to-use visible spectrophotometers to microprocessor UV/Vis spectrophotometers with optional PC control, using comprehensive Windows™ software.

SINGLE BEAM SPECTROPHOTOMETERS

The M105 Student Visible Spectrophotometer (335-1000nm) allows measurement of % Transmittance and Absorbance. Fundamental reliability is assured by the absence of motor drives.

The M106 Student/QC Visible Spectrophotometer is similar to the M105 with the improved bandwidth of 8nm instead of 12nm and the addition of readout in Concentration. The sample compartment accepts either standard 10nm pathlength rectangular cuvettes or test tubes. The RS232 output will allow the use of a Windows program for Concentration calibration curves.

The The New Look M107 Visible Spectrophotometer is similar to the M106 with a 5nm bandwidth and a large sample compartment. This allows the use of 4-cell changers, 50nm pathlength cuvettes and a water thermostatted cell holder.

The new M108 Visible and M508 UV/Visible instruments are fitted with stepper motors for wavelength and filter control. Their stylish 9-button keypad and 4-line 20-character LCD display enable users to store and record up to 200 methods or sets of results. The M508 is larger than the M108 allowing the use of 100mm pathlength cells, and an optional built-in printer.

The M501 is a Single Beam Scanning UV/Vis Spectrophotometer (190nm to 1,100nm) with 4nm bandwidth (2nm option). It has a ¼ VGA display and alphanumeric keyboard. Its local control software includes Abs/%T/Conc, concentration curves, wavelength scanning, kinetics, DNA/protein, multi-wavelength and performance validation...more performance and features than you need at a price less than you expect.

DOUBLE BEAM SPECTROPHOTOMETERS

The New M550 Double Beam Scanning UV/Visible Spectrophotometer is a high performance true double beam spectrophotometer with parallel sample and reference beams with new precision holders for sample and reference cuvettes. Two silicon photodiodes are used for measuring the two beams simultaneously for optimising measurement accuracy and stability. The reference beam is especially useful for measuring samples where the reference changes with time.

The specification is as expected from a top-of-the-range instrument designed for research as well as routine use: 1.8nm bandwidth, 190-1100nm wavelength range, less than 0.05%T stray light, and full compliance with European Pharmacopoeia 5.2.

ACCESSORIES

Camspec manufactures and supplies a comprehensive range of accessories for use with Camspec spectrophotometers. These include temperature controlled cell holders cell changers, cell stirrers, sippers and an integrating sphere. Applications include enzyme kinetics, DNA/RNA, and colour measurement.

Camspec also provides sets of glass filters, traceable to NPL for checking wavelength and absorbance accuracy.

The Camspec range has been extended to a system for measuring Sun Protection Factor of Fabrics and also a system for measuring NATO green and other NATO colours, based on a modified M550.
