AUTOMATIC PRESSURE FILTERS

Larox C Series automatic pressure filters are designed to maximize results for end-product quality and consistency, as well as production efficiency, reliability and safety. Larox C Series filters outperform conventional production methods for almost all applications where they are used including but not limited to industrial minerals, enzymes, fermentation broths, starches and waste products.

The Larox DS automatic pressure filters has been specifically designed for foods, pharmaceuticals, and solvent-wetted and difficult filtering products. This filter differs from the Larox C series, as it is totally enclosed design with the following special features:

HORIZONTAL VACUUM BELT FILTERS

Pannevis belt filters are used for continuous separation and have been supplied to the CPI for over 40 years. With over 1500 installations worldwide, the unique RT design is available in both open and a full range of partially and totally enclosed configurations. All configurations are available in standard and corrosion resistant materials. The GT gas-tight design is a totally enclosed configuration that is used for solvent wetted processes, potent products and toxic or hazardous processes.

Pannevis filters offer full multi-step processing within a single unit including multiple variations of cake washing, cake compression and thermal cake drying.

VACUUM DISC FILTERS

Larox offers both Ceramec capillary action ceramic plate disc filters and Scanmec conventional filters using replaceable filter media. The Ceramec is unique as it uses capillary action as the driving force to separate the liquid from the solids and can produce very dry cakes with absolutely clear filtrates. The Scanmec filter offers the largest possible filtration area in the smallest footprint.

VACUUM DRUM FILTERS

Larox vacuum drum filters are offered in several configurations including belt or scraper discharge, pre-coat operation or top feed.

MEMBRANE FILTER PRESSES

Hoesch originated the membrane filter press and today, with over 2500 installations worldwide, the Hoesch membrane press is a proven world leader. Overhead beam and side bar designs are offered with a full range of options including automatic plate shifting, and cloth cleaning.

New designs to 30 Bar operating pressure have recently been introduced. Fast opening designs ensure optimum capacity in fast cycling processes. Larox specializes in hygienic and corrosion resistant designs for today’s challenging market requirements. Polypropylene plates utilizing the latest Hoesch technology are standard for all designs.

POLISHING FILTERS

Scheibler polishing filters use adsorption filtration to remove and recover solids in low concentrations from process liquids. Adsorption filtration reduces solids concentrations in filtrates to parts per million with very low operating costs. Costly filter aids are unnecessary in the majority of applications. Maintenance costs are minimal as there are no moving parts and cloth cleaning and solids discharge are carried out automatically. The filter is normally only opened to replace the filter cloths.
