Wedge Wire Screens for Safe and Economic Separation

02 March 2004

Carbis con-slot screens and sieves are specifically used when process requirements call for a safe and economic solution of solid / liquid and solid / gas separation. High flow rates combined with excellent resistance against collapse and burst pressure allows for sophisticated engineering and design solutions.

Materials of manufacture include all grades of stainless steel including a high wear, high abrasion resistant grade, Inconel, Monel, Hastelloy, Duplex and Super Duplex.

Recent projects include:

Problems with abrasion on centrifuge baskets led a multi-national chemical manufacturer to contact us to help them overcome this problem. Using our patented screen design with the introduction of our hard wearing grade of stainless steel, specially developed for abrasive applications, has improved screen life from 3 to 9 months.

Retrofit of disposable cartridges with Carbis con-slot wedge wire screen cartridges has drastically cut costs at one of the UK's largest cosmetics manufacturers. The elements fit directly into existing vessels and housings without any modifications, they are cleanable and robust.
